RAIN Uganda Annual Report FY 2017

Six outreaches were conducted between January and December, 2017, with a total of 1086 (246
males and 840 females) received Voluntary Counseling and Testing ( VCT) at different
communities with 30 clients (2 males and 28 females) testing positive for HIV and referred for
care and treatment in government health facilities.
Five cervical /breast cancer and HIV education sessions were conducted in the communities of
Buyobo, Namanyonyi, Katira, Lyama and Iki-Iki and a total of 632 community members
benefited from these trainings
We had five successful Cervical and Breast Cancer screening sessions and a total of 606 women
were screened of whom 17 were referred for further management.
